According to Cooley, found between IX.11.1 and 2, on the left of the entrance above, was the graffiti CIL IV 7862. It is no longer there.
She translates it as “I beg you to elect Cn. Helvius Sabinus aedile, worthy of public office. Aegle asks for this” See Cooley, A. and M.G.L., 2004. Pompeii : A Sourcebook. London : Routledge. (p.123, F57, where she numbers it as CIL IV 7886)
Found either to the left or right of the doorway, was CIL IV 7866, but this too is no longer there. According to Cooley, this translated as -
“I beg you to elect Cn. Helvius Sabinus aedile, worthy of public office. Maria asks for this” See Cooley, A. and M.G.L., 2004. Pompeii : A Sourcebook. London : Routledge. (p.123)
According to Della Corte, Aegle, Maria and Zmyrina are all assumed to have been servant girls of Asellina, and are all named in the graffiti on the exterior wall. See Della Corte, M., 1965. Case ed Abitanti di Pompei. Napoli: Fausto Fiorentino. (p.308)
